Singapore, September 21, 2001 - Cygron today announced a new major release of its DataScope data mining software. DataScope 5.0 is built on the feature basis of the award-winning DataScope 4 series, but the added capabilities extend its target market towards data mining professionals.

The DataScope 4.x series added powerful prediction, knowledge discovery and automation features to the advanced data visualization and decision support capabilities of version 3.0, thus offering a fully integrated data analysis solution that addresses all phases of the data mining process. DataScope 5.0 is another major step towards the professional market.

"The previous DataScope series made data mining affordable to small and medium size organizations. With the new version we are trying to meet the demands of data mining professionals, too" said George Andor, VP of Development at Cygron. The modules are arranged into suites which represent the most useful combinations of modules for specific target customers (private use, SME use, DM professional use, etc). A custom combination of modules is also possible. A special version for educational purposes is available at a 90% discount.

The most important improvements in DataScope 5.0 include a massively extended data mining tool set (both algorithms and visualization techniques), significantly faster operation, increased data capacity and an interface to the SPSS Clementine data mining system.
