Cygron enters Asia with DataScope solution

BUSINESS intelligence software provider Cygron, which chose Singapore over the US for its worldwide headquarters last year, has settled in and is going all out to penetrate Asian markets with its flagship DataScope solution.

Roger Wolf, CEO, Cygron, highlighted that DataScope 4.0 was localised for Korea in mid-January, while a Chinese version is expected in 2H’01. “We project revenues in the coming 12 months to be 40% Asia and 60% US. Within Asia, 40% of the business will come from North Asia,” he said. “Today, ASEAN accounts for two-thirds of the business.”

According to Wolf, DataScope can “do the same and more than current high-end data mining packages” but on a PC, empowering more people in an organisation, and is well suited to the financial, banking, insurance, medical-scientific, and telco industries. In the region, the National University of Singapore has a site licence, while Cygron’s Korean partner has signed an agreement which included localising the product worth US$500,000 to Cygron.
