Multi-criteria decision support The DataScope Decision Support module can rank decision alternatives based on many, often contradictory, decision criteria. The set of decision criteria are defined by a "criterion hierarchy" - a hierarchically organized set of criteria with assigned weights and weight aggregation methods. The software provides an easy to use wizard which guides the user through the process of specifying criterion hierarchies. The module provides a specialized chart for analyzing the decision results, by comparing two or more alternatives to each other in detail and can segment the alternatives based on their weighted criteria values, so that only comparable alternatives will fall into the same segment. The module includes algorithms for learning criterion hierarchies from existing ranked alternative lists, which means it can learn from past information, if available. The learnt criterion hierarchy then can be used to predict/rank new, unknown decision alternatives.
