DataMap extends the import capabilities of DataScope by allowing the import of information from multiple tables in relational databases. DataMap is intended for database administrators and end-users who are familiar with the structure of the source database and allows the database schema and complex data preprocessing activities, such as data transformations and drill-down hierarchies to be specified in advance into a database connection template. Using this template for data import into DataScope, less technical end-users and business analysts can be shielded from detailed knowledge of database schema, technical field naming conventions and the burden of data preprocessing activities.
